Saving with stationery

Mike Barker - Monday, December 27, 2010
With the holiday season fast approaching, stationery give a way’s and other memorabilia’s are selling like pancakes as they seem to be the perfect gift for everyone. If you happen to be fond of stationeries as a child, you would without doubt know that the colors and design made you buy those out of their shelves. But not only children have been captivated by these paper products as companies and businesses worldwide have also incorporated their logos into this merchandise. There are two ways to acquire stationery if ever you’ll need some: One is to print them yourself and the other is by having them printed elsewhere. Not only do they make great gifts, but they are also a good way to increase a company’s branding and promotional activity.

Aside from its practicality, stationery are environmentally friendly products which have been made entirely from recycled paper. So no trees were harmed in the making of the Colored Pencils in cardboard Tube with sharpener and the Recycled Paper Notebook as they were made by the company responsible for the brilliant and durable green bags which are used as promotional bags for many establishments. With the eco friendly bags campaign on the rise, the novelty stationery which are placed inside the tote bags will make a good pair that can surely make anyone smile upon receiving. These are definitely much better than using plastic bags as gift bags since it is reusable and stylish enough to be used in public.

These days, it is all about being good to the environment and utilizing our natural resources. When you think about it, using recycled materials can actually produce more beautiful and artistic looking products. So buy something that can make people smile with its uniqueness while helping the environment become a better place as well.

Make washing a habit

Mike Barker - Wednesday, December 15, 2010

Germs are everywhere. They are found in the most seemingly harmless of objects such as doorknobs, keyboards and mice, money and even in your own cell phones. You can never be too careful when it comes to personal hygiene that involves your hands as there will actually be an instance that you will be using it to touch your face, food and what not. So therefore it has to be clean all the time. If you do not be careful, you will end up being the carrier of dreadful diseases just by having dirty hands.

These days, it is generally advised to look out for any unsightly objects that could be filthy and avoid them. For unavoidable items such as shared office equipment and money, make sure that you immediately clean up afterwards. Most people rely on rubbing alcohol and hand sanitizers as a way to sanitize their hands again. But did you know that only a portion of germs are affected by the chemicals? The best way to minimize the spread of germs is by washing with soap and water, no substitute. A good way to promote cleanliness in schools and offices is by having paper soaps in tiny square shapes available. Not only are they handy, but they can be conveniently used anytime and be stored anywhere. They are also environmentally friendly as they are from the makers of the green bags that are widely used as promotional bags, tote bags and shopping bags. Besides the paper soaps, the enviro bags make great gifts for promoting cleanliness instead of using old plastic bags that have been around everywhere.

“Cleanliness is next to Godliness” as they all say, which is for a fact very true since you will get to many places if you keep your body, mind and soul clean. What better way to start than by washing your hands.

Give the gift of green

Mike Barker - Friday, November 26, 2010

The holiday rush has already begun and people are starting to contemplate on what gift to buy their friends and relatives as it is very difficult to get something by the dozen for different kinds of people. In most cases, figurines or photo albums are usually the ones that are given; and when this happens, it does not make the receiver very happy at all since the items are considered to be something that is meant to be rewrapped or left in its original box for a very long time. Make your present memorable and well accepted by giving something useful and practical, and by practical it means something that can be used every day without hesitation.

For people who have all the time in the world, making handcraft novelty items from scratch would be a very nice gift idea as it is always appreciated. But if you are on the go and have little time to spare for searching and creating such items, then green bags is definitely the answer to your generosity dilemma. The little calico bags you see on designer stores have the pocket friendly versions with the same functional capability which is the eco friendly bags. The tote bags are reliable, practical and nice to look at whether it designed with solid colors or printed. They are appealing to all lifestyles as they make high quality shopping bags, so you never have to worry about your plastic bags being torn while walking in the mall.

The gift you give represents how you are as a person and distributing cheap presents will only make you be unappreciated and laughed upon. If you really want to make your loved ones happy and special, give them something they’d enjoy for the rest of the year or longer. Not only do they thank you for it, but they’ll also give you something nice in return too.

Cheers to fine food and drinks!

Mike Barker - Friday, November 12, 2010

Wine and Fine Spirits make one of the best gifts both personally and in a corporate setting. The selections come in an assortment of brands, fruit used, colors, years fermented and labels. Most of the wines that are available for Christmas distribution are sold in specialty baskets and bags. The kinds that are in available in local retail outlets are usually the inexpensive wines and the ones that are bought to be sent out as gifts. Sending out wine as a gift has always been considered to be elegant as it reflects the kind of person the giver is- classy, tasteful and refined. Wine symbolizes wealth and power and that made wine giving rise as many want to claim such title.

Vintage wines are much more expensive and are very much appreciated by wine and culinary enthusiasts all over the world. This type of wine is available in specialty shops and not in a neighborhood grocer as it is mostly exclusive to vineyards and deli stores. These are best for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings and other special occasions. Wines are often presented with superior deli products or with seafood that compliments its taste. They are then presented in tote bags or stylish green bags. In today’s modern world, the gift package is considered as a fine food basket; therefore it also must be placed well in a chic packaging such as the eco bags to go along with its fine contents. After the items have been consumed, the recipient can always use the calico bags as reliable shopping bags

There is so much more to wine appreciation than just drinking it. Wine also flavors up any gourmet dish while cooking and it also makes an excellent food counter decoration. When deciding to give wine, choose something that you would drink yourself so you’d be sure that it’ll be as enjoyable for the other party as well.

The perfect companion

Mike Barker - Tuesday, October 26, 2010

When the first sign of a crunchy leaf appears on the garden footpath, it is then the indicator that the fall season is about to come and when that happens, children and adults alike automatically get excited as the most awaited event of the season is nearing, which is Halloween and the Black Friday Sale. As early as October, people of all ages are already starting to scout out for possible Halloween costume ideas from simple hat witches to a very complex and fancy video game characters, the possibilities are endless if you just let your creativity run the show and if ever, the sewing machine.

Children become very excited about the thought of Halloween since it is the only time of the year that they are allowed to eat and pig out on as much candy and other goodies and sweets as they like. The practice is called Trick or Treat, it is when kids dress up in their best costumes and walk from house to house in their respective neighborhoods, knock and ask for candy. They usually carry pumpkin shaped plastic moulds or little sachets to store their treats, and when it becomes too full, they often end the night disappointed since they weren’t able to ask for more candies from the rest of the block. This October 31st, avoid the tantrums that your children might give by letting them carry tote bags which are also known as eco friendly bags. Not only are they durable and spacious, but they are easier to bring around as it can be worn around the shoulder. The bags could also be reused as shopping bags for Black Friday when all the items are marked down to its lowest price. Standing in long lines is better when you’re holding eco bags rather than plastic bags and risking it of tearing.

The season is filled with events, sales and festivities that are opportunities for us to get something out of and the best companion for all these are the ever reliable green bags.

The rise of the cloth bag era

Mike Barker - Wednesday, October 13, 2010

Once upon a time, plain boring cloth bags were introduced to the market. Nobody took notice nor cared to use them. Although banks and conventions considered them to be great souvenirs, it still wasn’t something that people, especially the fashion conscious would like to be seen wearing when they go out as it is too basic and unadorned. For those who had them, the little cloth carriers were either used to store soiled clothes after a day at the gym while some just let them rot in the deepest darkest end of the closet. Poor bags, because of their monotonous tones and designs, only a few supported it.

Luckily, creative minds and genius designers collaborated and turned the previously dull woven bag into eco friendly bags with an array of rainbow colors which includes patterns, shapes and everything that you can imagine of printed into the recyclable bags. The new re introduction of the calico bags became such a hit that it immediately had a cult following including celebrities and world fashion enthusiasts as not only did it come in their favorite brand and style, the green bags also promoted a go-green lifestyle by reducing the use of plastic as shopping bags. With its new appeal on the consuming public, the popularity of the handbag has made shoppers across the globe delighted to use them even in groceries as an alternative to plastic bags.

Simple innovative things such as a plain woven bag can evolve into something as special as a fashion icon favorite and a planet saver. The use of these bags has made the green and natural movement easier as everyone can now contribute and participate in the preservation of our earth. The success of the earth’s survival doesn’t entirely rely on these things but on every single one of us.

Green is better than transparent

Mike Barker - Monday, September 27, 2010
Plastic Bags and paper bags are the options among grocery stores, supermarkets, convenience stores and shopping malls to use for their customers shopping needs. Most establishments however, do not have any other option and can offer only the plastic kind. But little do they know that both packages can actually contribute in harming the environment in many different ways. That is why many of today’s globally concerned citizens choose to bring with them reusable woven tote bags and use it as shopping bags as the non-woven polypropolene (NWPP) material is friendly to Mother Earth. The recyclable bags are a much better replacement of the usual item carrier. Here are some of the reasons why they should be used instead.

1.   Energy utilized - Paper bags are produced from trees. To have them made, many trees should be cut down and transformed into pulp then washed and pressed to make it into sheets of paper. The method is more time consuming and the process requires so much energy. The NWPP bags are made from crude oil.

2.   Durability – The Eco Friendly Bags are able to carry about 100kg of goods while its plastic and paper counterpart can only take so little since it is prone to tearing. Therefore, the calico bags are much more durable since it is made out of woven cloth.

3.   Good for the environment – The bags made out of plastic are very light and they can only be used once since most of them develop holes after just one usage. Hence, they get thrown right away making it bad for the environment since it contributes to the massive amount of waste we already dispose of. Green bags can be used all over again since it is sturdy and durable. Stores even have special discounts for shoppers who bring along with them their eco promotional bags with the store logo.

Going green

Mike Barker - Wednesday, September 15, 2010

Eco Friendly Bags are the entire rave right now in major cities all over the globe, even movie stars and other celebrities have been seen carrying one around in different magazine spreads. High-end designers have also collaborated with bag makers to produce limited edition expensive designer tote bags. Going green has become a lifestyle already, even the mass media has promoted it to be cool since many influential people have commercialized the practice of being environmentally oriented too. Carrying around reusable totes, being a vegetarian, buying all organic products are just some of the new practices that young Hollywood and the rest of the worlds masses have become acquainted to.

Plastic Bags are the most harmful contribution that the consuming public can contribute to the environment as they are composed of a material that will withstand time and therefore will decompose very slowly or not at all. As much as they claim that they can be recycled, bags made out of plastic is very difficult to recycle as it is not sturdy and people do not really like to bring them along as they would rather have a fresh bag every time they shop.

Green Bags as easy to acquire as bottled water, they are found everywhere such as shopping counter exits and even on corner shops since they are only sold at around $1 or less. Companies even give them out for free since they can also serve as promotional bags, and when someone uses the eco bags, then it would already create free advertising to the company- so everyone wins!

Saving the environment has gone a long way from planting trees and not using aerosol products with CFC to as simple as purchasing a bag made out of woven cloth. Now everyone doesn’t have a reason not to help out in preserving the earth.

Green Bags for all ages

Mike Barker - Thursday, August 26, 2010
I’ve heard about the ban against plastic bags and I know that a lot of people are supporting this movement. Plastic bags do more damage than we know to our environment. Unknowingly, we have gathered more than a hundred plastic bags each and all of these go to the trash. They take a long time to decompose and some end up in our water supplies and other bodies of water.

Some stores and shops have even placed a price on their plastic bags just to urge their customers to bring and use their own green bags. Some stores also give out extra points or discounts for people who are using their own green bags. All these efforts in full support of the plastic bag ban act.

At first, people weren’t really fond of the green, recyclable bags because they weren’t stylish at all. However over time, it all changed. Green bags now come in different textures, forms, shapes, style and design that will cater to anyone’s taste.

 • Green bags that come in tote bags are popular with mothers because they find it the most functional and easy to carry.

• Teenagers can now use chic and stylish shopping bags in the form of green bags. They come in all colors, styles and designs that they can choose from. It’s hip, chic and fashionable.

• Kids can use enviro bags to carry their lunch boxes. They can choose fun designs so that they won’t get bored. With green bags, the possibilities in the design are endless.

Green bags
now cater to people from all walks of life. It has passed beyond age and disposition in life – anyone can use it. Green bags are slowly becoming a part of people’s day to day lives. Make them a part of yours too and help protect our environment.

The new wave of promotional advertising

Mike Barker - Thursday, August 12, 2010

In Australia, green bags have dominated the scene. They have become famous for their environment friendly characteristics and they usually come in the color green hence the name. More and more companies are now using green bags in full support to the plastic bag ban movement. In fact, some have even come up with promotional products in the form of green bags.

Bags are one of the most flexible and functional thing there is. They can be created in any shape and from any type of material. They are also one of the widely used commodities on earth. The increase in environmental awareness makes this generation the perfect way to take advantage of eco friendly bags as a means of advertising and promotion.

Green bags are created from strong materials that give them durability and strength thus you can use and reuse the bags. These recyclable bags make the perfect promotional products for companies who want their names to be remembered. Promotional bags are great for advertising because they carry the company’s logo and these bags get exposed to more and more people wherever the bag owner goes. It’s a walking advertisement for your company or products and you don’t even have to do anything at all. Promotional bags reach a wider audience at a cheaper cost – the perfect marketing strategy.

Another positive note on promotional bags for advertising is that your company will be associated with the environment. People will know that you support the movement to save and protect the environment against plastic bags and their ill effects. This sends out a positive vibe to your customers and will help bring in more customers.

If you’re a company that usually gives out promotional products, take advantage of these green bags. You’re promoting your product while protecting the environment at the same time.
